Yesterday Giovanni and Silvia received a nice letter and a donation of €135.
Lydia is a 16 year old girl from Germany who is interested in dolphins. She found the DBC website by chance and, together with her friend Louisa, became active in order to support dolphin research and conservation.
They did fundraising at a flea market and set up a cake bazaar at school with the help of three friends (see photo). They collected information material about DBC, prepared an advertising flyer, met the school director to ask for permission, and got their cakes ready — driven by passion an good will.
The cake bazaar was a success. All pieces where sold. While enjoying delicious cakes, pupils and teachers at a German school learned about the work of dolphin researchers in Greece.
A big thank you to Lydia, Louisa and friends Oya, Alexandra and Sinikka for their generous support. DBC staff members will think hard about the best way of using the donation!
